Tapahtumien kuvaus: On 8-9.10.1976, Holger Danielsson was on a traffic monitoring assignment in Jomala together with Constables Göte Alm and Anders Nordqvist. They had stopped three cars, and Danielsson was standing on the road. At that moment, a Swedish car came driving from the direction of Mariehamn. The car drove close to one of the stopped cars, running over Danielsson. The driver then tried to get away. The hit-and-run car was soon found, and based on a tip from a taxi driver, the police found nearby the two Swedish men who had been in the car. Both men were intoxicated. The seriously wounded Danielsson was taken to the hospital in Mariehamn and then to Helsinki for further treatment. There, Holger Erik Danielsson died of sepsis on 24.11.1976.
