Tapahtumien kuvaus: Mounted police officers Suominen and Tuomi were patrolling in the evening in Raunistula, Turku. As they were going to stop two cyclists who were riding without lights, a bus approached them. The bus stopped, and the policemen were about to ride past it when a bicycle suddenly appeared from behind the bus straight in front of Tuomi’s horse. The horse stumbled over the bicycle, and Tuomi fell off the horse. One of his feet got stuck in the stirrup, and as the frightened horse kept running, it dragged Tuomi for some distance. He suffered a cranial fracture and died in hospital one hour later.
