Tapahtumien kuvaus: On 7.4.1959, Constable Reino Peltola and Sheriff Jouko Virrankoski of Ähtäri were at Jaakko Leppälampi’s farm as witnesses to a foreclosure auction. As Peltola was approaching the house, he was shot by Leppälampi. Peltola fell to the ground but managed to drag himself across the ground and take cover behind a horse. After a while, Leppälampi stepped out of the stable and retreated towards the forest, using one of the buildings as cover and pointing his shotgun at those present.
