Tapahtumien kuvaus: On the morning of 13.9.1928, dockworker Väinö Valdemar Visala was brought to the police station since he was suspected of having stolen a bicycle. Visala began struggling. Detective Lahtinen, who was one floor above, heard the noise and rushed down to help. Together, the policemen managed to force Visala back into the cell. Shortly after this, Lahtinen fell to the floor. He was taken to the Surgical Hospital, where he died. It was concluded that he had suffered a lethal injury to the head as he had hit it against a wall during the struggle.
