Tapahtumien kuvaus: On the evening of Whit Monday, young people gathered to dance at the home of Hannes Mukkala in the village Raatikka in Kuolajärvi. Constable Alapeteri came there to maintain order. A fight broke out, and Alapeteri intervened. He seized a pistol and a knife from Tauno Repo, who was one of those involved. Alapeteri escorted Repo home. A while later, Repo appeared again at the dance venue, this time carrying a military rifle. Upon encountering Alapeteri, Repo shot him to death.
