Tapahtumien kuvaus: Early in the morning, plainclothes detectives K. Jäspi and F. Lindström were monitoring the Pori Regiment barracks and the surrounding area at the garrison in Turku. They had reason to believe that communists intended to commit illegal acts in the area. Near the barracks they encountered two men in civilian clothing. They began talking with the men. Jäspi grabbed one of them, and a struggle ensued. A pistol carried by one of the men went off, and the bullet hit Jäspi in the abdomen. He died in the evening. The men in civilian clothes proved to be non-commissioned officers of the Pori Regiment who had been monitoring the area for the same reason as the two policemen.

Judgment 1: No sentence imposed. Charges were dropped, and demands for compensation were not approved.
