Tapahtumien kuvaus: On 18.7.1920, the summer party of the local Civil Guard was held at the youth association building in the village of Heinjoki. Serviceman Matti Rahkonen, who was on leave, was among the participants. He was intoxicated and caused a disturbance. Local policeman Teivonen reprimanded Rahkonen for his behaviour. This annoyed Rahkonen, and he left the premises. He later came back, now armed with a Browning pistol. He first fired into the building from the doorway without hitting anyone, then stepped inside and fired two shots. The second shot was aimed at Teivonen, who was hit and died instantly. Rahkonen managed to run away but was apprehended the following Monday when he returned to his garrison.
