Tapahtumien kuvaus: Police Constable Aulén, who lived on the property of the Tirva factory in Pyötsilä, was informed that bootleggers had been spotted in the area. Aulén seized some alcohol from a man. The man went to tell his friends what had happened, and he said angrily that he would not allow anyone to take his booze. Aulén went to find out who this blusterer was. Aulén encountered the man and frisked him. However, the man suddenly pulled out a pistol, and a struggle ensued. During the fight, the man pushed the pistol against Aulén’s chest and fired. The man ran away, and a foreman at the factory fired three shots after him. The police and Civil Guard initiated a manhunt for the killer, who was found two days later in a barn in the village Penttilä in Valkeala. Aulén had been a police officer since 1913.
