Tapahtumien kuvaus: On 21.9.1978 at 21:18 the police received an alarm at the scene of a stabbing in Rastaala, Espoo. The fire brigade ambulance and the police dog patrol arrived first, but they could not find the victim. The patrol that started its shift at the police station left at the scene. Kyösti Hartikainen and vk. Kenneth Ramström, accompanied by Erkki Nikkanen, notary of the Police Department of the County Council. The patrol heard the alarm and reported to join the mission. The car was a Lada 1200 that the Espoo police had received the day before. Ramström was driving the Lada for the first time. On a curve, the car drifted to the right edge and the right front wheel fell off the asphalt, the right front corner crashed into the side of a birch tree and the car almost completely rolled over the tree. Ramström tried to call for help with the police radio but it didn't work. He got out of his seat belt and found that tools were needed to remove Hartikainen, who was sitting next to him. Ramström rushed to call for help from a nearby phone booth, he had slightly injured his arm. Nikkanen, who was sitting behind, and Hartikainen, who was sitting next to him, were seriously injured, Hartikainen died in hospital three days later.
