Tapahtumien kuvaus: At 9 pm on August 19th, Police Constable Rämö approached a group of drunken men who were causing a disturbance on the bridge Rämsänsilta in Sunila. Rämö was about to arrest one of the men when a labourer named Arvi Henttinen fired four shots at him with a revolver. Ramö died immediately. Henttinen ran away but was apprehended two days later in the village of Pölläkkä in the municipality of Muolaa. Rämö had been a police officer for 15 years.
